From 2007 to 2008, I blogged the life of a man who develops what he interprets as a super power, but he keeps waiting for the lame ability to come with great responsibility.
It’s a format called “Blog Fiction,” and it’s a structure that lends itself to some interesting reality-bending when the story takes place in real time, publishing fiction in reaction to true events going on in the world. I played with format along the way, and it gave me an excuse to try and make the story as petty and simple as real life, forming a kind of existential superhero story.
